POTATO PAKORA

potato pakora mMy sister in law Madiha Nauman made these crispy and delicious pakoras one pleasant evening in Skardu after Rain. We enjoye these with Green Temarind sauce/ chutney.

INGREDIENTS:

Gram flour1 cup
Saltto taste
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Baking soda1/4 tsp
Ajwain1/4 tsp
Dry kasuri methi1/2 tsp

METHOD:

  • In gram flour add water and make a smooth thick paste.
  • Add salt, red chili powder, soda, ajwaen and dry methi. You can add 1/4 tsp cumin seeds too.
  • Mix them and set aside.
  • Cut potatoes in thin slices and dip each slice in gram flour. slide in hot oil and fry.

  • Serve hot with chutney.
