This recipe is very close to original sauce recipe, has the same ingredients and it is a perfect sauce for pizza. I use this pizza sauce in my bread recipes as well as in my pasta recipes.
|Tomato Puree||1 tin|
|Dried Oregano||1/4 tsp|
|Dried Thyme||1/4 tsp|
|Dried Basil Leaves||1/4 tsp|
|Garlic Paste||1/4 tsp|
|Black Pepper||1/8 tsp|
|Lemon Juice||1/2 tsp|
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat until sauce starts to boil.
- Lower heat and simmer. Cover it for 30 to 45 minutes or until it is as thick as you like it.
- Makes enough for 2 pizzas.
