Ainy Cooks

This recipe is very close to original sauce recipe, has the same ingredients and it is a perfect sauce for pizza. I use this pizza sauce in my bread recipes as well as in my pasta recipes.

Tomato Puree 1 tin
Water 1/4 cup
Sugar 1 tsp
Dried Oregano 1/4 tsp
Dried Thyme 1/4 tsp
Dried Basil Leaves 1/4 tsp
Garlic Paste 1/4 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Black Pepper 1/8 tsp
Lemon Juice 1/2 tsp

  • Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat until sauce starts to boil.
  • Lower heat and simmer. Cover it for 30 to 45 minutes or until it is as thick as you like it.
  • Makes enough for 2 pizzas.
