butterfly chicken sticks mThese butterflies are very easy and tasty. Kids will surely like these. Can be a perfect finger food for parties.


Chicken boneless, cut in cubes1 cup
Potatoeslarge, 2
Vinegar1 tsp
Tandori masala, any brand (i have used Shan)2 tbsp
Lemon juice1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste1 tsp
Butter1 tbsp
Corn flour1/4 cup
Plain flour1/4 cup
Grated Chadder cheeseas needed (optional)
Coriander leavesas needed
Oilfor frying


  • Peel potatoes and cut into thin slices length wise.
  • Add 1 tsp vinegar in water. Soak in water for 1-2 hours.
  • Marinate chicken with Tandori masala, lemon juice, butter and ginger garlic paste.
  • Leave it for 1 hour.
  • Before frying sprinkle corn flour and flour on chicken pieces.  Toss them.
  • Place chicken in center of the slice and insert toothpick, secure it and fry in oil.
  • Take butterflies out when chicken and potatoes tender. Place on paper towel.

  • Sprinkle coriander and grated cheese just before serving and serve with sauce.

creamy potato rolls mKids like potatoes of all type and shapes, if you will make these rolls for them I am sure they will not only like these creamy stuffed rolls but also will ask you to make them everyday 🙂

  • In a pan add butter and flour. Stir for few seconds.
  • Now add Chicken and stir again.
  • Add salt and pepper, mix well.
  • Add milk and stir constantly. Add capsicum and carrot.
  • Mix till become thick.
  • Set aside.

  • Boil potatoes and mash them fine. Add salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Now make a patti of potato and place white sauce in the center and cover with mash potatoes from all sides.
  • Roll in egg and then in bread crumbs.
  • Keep in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • deep fry them.
  • Serve with sauce.

fruit chat mThis is a versatile Cream Chaat, which you can make with any fruit and dry fruit’s addition will give a unique taste to this chaat. Try my recipe today with a little twist.


Mix seasonal fruits2 cups
Cream (Haleeb, milkpack)1 packet, 250ml
Milk1/4 cup
Condensed milk1/4 cup or to taste
Nutsas needed
Red jelly1 packet


  • In a bowl add cream and milk, mix well now add condensed milk and mix.
  • Cut all fruits and add in cream.
  • You can add cocktail fruit tin also. But i have used all seasonal fruits. (apple, banana, pineapple, mango, grapes)
  • Transfer in serving dish.
  • Prepare jelly and drizzle on chaat.
  • Before serving Sprinkle nuts.
  • Refrigerate it and serve chill.

potato pops mThis recipe I have picked from internet. Kids will defiantly like these pops. I have given a little twist to the recipe. I am posting original version and my own version here.

  • Cut potatoes in cubes, boil in salted water.

  • Arrange cubes on a wooden stick and dip in paste and fry.

  • In a bowl add all ingredients and mix with water. Make a thick paste.
  • Dip potato inserted in sticks, in paste and fry.
  • You can adjust spices according to your taste buds.
  • Serve with ketchup.

dhoraji chatDhoraji is a famous place in Karachi, where mostly Memon community is living. Dhoraji is famous for its Chat , Falooda , gola ganda and Bhel puri. I can’t forget the taste of Falooda of Dhoraji. I will share the recipe soon but today here is the recipe of famous Chat.


Black chickpeas/ kala chana1 and 1/2 Cup, boiled
Whole red pepper/ sabut lal mirch7-8
Cumin seeds2 tbsp
Coriander seeds2 tbsp
Talhar mirch/ Kashmiri mirch3
Tamarind pulp1 cup
Brown sugar/ shakar4 tbsp
Saltas needed
Ginger garlic paste1 tbsp
Curry leaves5-6
Oil1/2 cup
Coriander leaves and green chiliesfor garnish
Paprias needed


  • Soak chickpeas overnight and boil in the morning.
  • Dry roast cumin, whole coriander and whole red chili on a pan and then grind it.
  • Soak Talhar mirch (long red chili) in water for 2 hours. You can soak overnight too. Now in blender add Mirch, Tamarind pulp and brown sugar or shakar. Blend it to form a smooth paste.
  • In a pot add oil and add ginger garlic paste and Curry leaves, stir for few seconds. Now add Tamarind pulp and cook for few seconds.
  • Add dry roasted spices which we have made first. cook till oil separates.
  • Now add chickpeas and salt mix well. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander and chilies.
  • Serve with Papri.

bondi mAnother variation in Bondi / phulki. I first tasted these in Burns Road Karachi. Serve with Chat Masala and sweet chatney.


Bondi / Phulki2 cups
Yogurt1/2 kg
Sugar (grind it)as needed
Salt1/4 tsp
Chat masalaas needed


  • You can make Bondi/ phulki at home or use ready made. If you are using ready made then boil water in a pan and pour on bondi. Cover the bowl with a plate for 5-10 minutes and then strain with strainer, Leave it for few minutes.
  • Now in a bowl add all ingredients in Yogurt and mix with whisk. (use nestle yogurt for a good result)
  • Add bondis in yogurt. Mix well. Keep in refrigerator.
  • Before serving sprinkle Chat masala and Sweet Imli Chantney. Coriander leaves and chilies are optional.

corn canapes mAn easy and delicious recipe for parties and Hi teas. In Iftar you can also try these bite size canapes. I have posted similar recipe with a Pakistani touch few months ago. You can check the recipe here:

  • Add all veggies in a bowl and add salt, red chili flakes (you can use pepper also) and lemon juice. Mix well.
  • You can mix cream cheese in veggies or spread it on crackers just before serving.
  • Place a spoon full of mixture on crackers and serve.

thai roll mA perfect recipe for Iftar and Hi tea. These rolls are a bit different from normal spring rolls. You can make wraps at home or use ready made too. Try and give me your feed back.

  • Mix all ingredients and grease pan.
  • Spread spoon full of mixture on pan and spread with the back of the spoon.
  • Let it cook from one side then cook from other side.
  • Cook all in the same way.

Cabbage1 small , Julian cut
Carrots2 small, Julian cut
Capsicum2 small, Julian cut
Chinese salt1 tsp

Red chili flakes1 tsp
Red chili powder1/2 tsp
Vinegar3 tbsp
Soya sauce4 tbsp
Tomato ketchup3 tbsp
Oil2-3 tbsp


  • In a pan add oil and vegetables. Cook on high flame for few minutes.
  • Add chicken, soya sauce, vinegar, ketchup, salt, black pepper, red chili flakes, red chili powder and Chinese salt.
  • Cook on high flame for few more minutes. Remove from flame and set aside.
  • Let it cool completely then fill in this mixture in wraps.






  • Coat all rolls with cornflour then dip in beaten egg and coat bread crumbs.
  • Fry in oil on medium flame till light brown in color.
  • Serve with any sauce.

batata vadas mMy mother was making these batataz, I can’t forget the taste of batata vadas which she was making. You will see a lot of variations in the same recipe but here is my Mother’s recipe which i know you will like.


Potato3 large, boiled n mashed
Red chili powder1 tsp
Red chili flakes1/2 tsp
Saltto taste
Roasted and crushed cumin seeds1 tsp
Anar dana1 tsp
Green chilies, chopped1-2
Onion, chopped1 small
Coriander leaves2 tbsp
Lemon juice1 tsp
Gram flour/ basan2 cups

Ajwaen1/4 tsp

  • Boil potatoes and mash them.
  • Add all ingredients except gram flour in it and mix well.
  • In a bowl add flour, salt , red chili powder and ajwaen. Mix with water.
  • It should be a thick paste.
  • Make balls of potato mixture and dip in batter, fry in oil.
  • Serve with ketchup or chatney.

azad chat mAll those who are resident of Attock City will agree with me that Azad Chat House is one of the best Chat shops in Attock, sweet and spicy chat will tantalize your taste buds. I am grateful to my Friend and relative Shazia Aunty, who taught me the copycat of Azad Chat. She taught me to make bondi in a different and unique style. Hope you will like her way of making Bondi. Pictures during demonstration are not clear because of low light in her kitchen. But end result I have captured after making Chat myself.

  • In a bowl add all ingredients and make a thick paste with water.
  • Set aside for few minutes.

  • In a large bowl add chana , potatoes, tomatoes, sweet and sour tamarind sauce, chat masala, salt, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, green chilies, onion and in the end bondi.

  • Beat yogurt and pour over chat. Yogurt you can use according to your taste. You want more saucy then use more yogurt.

  • Toss all ingredients and pour Imli sauce, chat masala and papari.

Spring onion2 sticks, chopped

Baking powder1 tsp
Crushed black pepper1 tsp

  • Peel potatoes and wash, grate them and squeeze water with hands.
  • Spread on paper towel to dry excess water.
  • In a bowl add all ingredients and shredded  potatoes. Mix well. Heat oil and give potatoes a shape of a patty.
  • Fry in oil.

strawberry delight mVery simple recipe, fresh strawberries are still available in market so try this today. My sons loved this colorful sweet and tangy dessert.


  • Milk                               2 cups
  • Custard powder          1 tbsp, any flavor. I ave used vanilla.
  • Fresh cream                 1 packet
  • Sugar                             6 tbsp or to taste
  • Fresh strawberries     2 cups, chopped
  • Kewra water                  few drops.



  • Boil milk and add dissolved custard powder in it.Stir constantly till become thick.
  • Add kewra water. mix well and let it cool completely.
  • In a pan add strawberries and sugar. Add 4 tbsp water also. Cook on low flame till thick consistency obtained.
  • Let it cool.
  • Now in a bowl mix all ingredients.
  • You can give layers too. First strawberry pulp, custard then cream.
  • You can add sugar if required more.
  • Refrigerate it, garnish with strawberries and sprinkles before serving.

mince puffs mNo other party snack is more easy and delicious than these bite size puff patties. In Pakistan chicken and mince patties are very popular. Chicken patties recipe i have posted earlier you can check the recipe here:



  • Beef/ Mutton mince          1 cup
  • Onion                                    1 small, chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste             1 tsp
  • Red chili flakes                    1 tsp
  • Salt                                         to taste
  • Cumin seeds                         1/4 tsp
  • Oil                                           3 tbsp
  • All spice powder                   1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves                   2 tbsp
  • Green chilies                         1 tbsp, chopped
  • Puff pastry                              as needed
  • Egg beaten                             for brushing on puff patties


  • In oil saute onion, add ginger garlic paste and stir for few seconds.
  • Add mince , stir till color change.
  • Now add salt, chili flakes, cumin seeds, all spice powder, mix well and cook till tender and water dries.
  • Add coriander leaves and green chilies.
  • Let it cool completely.
  • Roll the dough and and cut circles or make a big square and place mine on one side. Roll it and seal edges with egg. Cut small pieces and place on baking tray.
  • Brush egg on top and bake. If making round shape then just place spoonful mixture on one circle and place another on top.Brush egg on top and bake.

  • Bake at 180c for 25 -30 minutes or till nice golden color appear.

shawarma mThis sawarma recipe is in Pakistani style. You will get taste of Arabic and Desi spices. Try it today and give me your feedback.


  • Chicken                           1/2 kg , boneless
  • Ginger garlic paste        1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder    1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red chili           1 tsp
  • Salt                                   to taste
  • All spice powder            1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice                    3 tbsp
  • Chili sauce                       1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce                       2 tbsp
  • Mustard paste                1 tsp
  • Oil                                     4 tbsp
  • Pita bread                        4-5


  • In a pan add oil. Cut chicken in long strips.
  • Add all spices in chicken and cook till tender. Now fry it till light golden.
  • Set a side and prepare other sauces.





  • Cucumber                      1/2 cup, Julian cut
  • Carrot                              1/2 cup, Julian cut
  • Green chili                      1/4 cup, chopped
  • Olives                               1/4 cup, chopped
  • Vinegar                             as needed


  • Dip all vegetables in vinegar and keep in fridge overnight or at least 4 hours.





  • White sesame seeds     1/2 cup
  • Garlic chopped              1 tsp
  • Olive oil                          3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice                   3 tbsp


  • Toast sesame seeds and grind immediately. Add all other ingredients too and grind to make a smooth paste.





  • Tahini sauce             1/2 cup
  • While chick peas     1 cup, boiled
  • Lemon juice             4 tbsp
  • Olive oil                     4 tbsp
  • Salt                             to taste
  • Black pepper            1/4 tsp
  • Garlic chopped        1 tsp


  • Add all ingredients in blender and prepare paste.





  • Take a square butter paper, place shwarma on it. Spread humus and vegetables.
  • Place chicken on one side of shawarma and roll it.
  • Serve with any dip of your choice.
  • Enjoy.

  • Plain flour           3 cups
  • Yeast                    1 tsp
  • Oil                        1 tbsp
  • Sugar                   1 tsp
  • Warm water       for kneading


  • Mix all ingredients and knead with warm water. Leave it for 2 hours on a warm place.
  • It will be double in size. Punch it down on counter to remove air.
  • Roll it, use dry flour too. Cut same size of circles with any plate.
  • Grease pan or tawa and cook like flat bread/ roti.

pitta pizza mTempting and easy within few minutes you can make these pizzas to impress your guests.These handy dandy pizzaz you can give in your kids lunch box too.

  • Chicken boneless           2 breast fillets , cut in cubes
  • Yogurt                              1/2 cup
  • Salt                                    to taste
  • Lemon juice                     1 tbsp
  • Grated ginger                  1/2 tbsp
  • Chopped garlic                1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder                 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder             1 tsp
  • Black pepper                    1/2 tsp
  • Oil                                       2 tbsp


  • Marinate all ingredients in a large bowl and leave it for 2 hours.
  • Now in a pan cook till chicken tender and water dries.
  • Give smoke of Charcoal.

  • Capsicum                          1 large, cut in cubes
  • Onion                                 1 medium, cut in cubes
  • Tomato                              1 medium, remove seeds and cut in cubes.
  • Oregano                             as needed, for sprinkle on pizza

  • In a baking tray arrange all four pita breads.
  • Spread pizza sauce and chicken tikka.
  • Top it with vegetables and cheese.
  • Sprinkle oregano and bake at 180c till cheese melt.

bbq sp mThis recipe i have adapted from Shiren Anwer’s recipes , thou a little bit changes i have made but BBq sauce is a key ingredient of this recipe. I myself love bbq flavor. Hope you will also try and like the recipe.


  • Chicken             1/2 kg , cut in cubes
  • Spaghetti          3 cups, boiled
  • Tomato paste   1 tbsp
  • Garlic minced   1tbsp
  • Ketchup              2 tbsp
  • Pasta sauce        2 tbsp
  • Chili garlic sauce  2 tbsp
  • BBQ sauce           1 tbsp
  • Red chili flakes   1 tsp
  • Oregano                1 tsp
  • Rosemary          1 tsp
  • Oil                        1/4 cup
  • Parsley or coriander leaves for garnish
  • Capsicum            1
  • Cabbage              as needed


  •  In a pan add oil and garlic. Saute for few seconds. Add chicken stir till color change.
  • Add all spices and sauces, mix well.
  • Add vegetables and stir for few more seconds.
