Suji Halwa or Semolina pudding is one of Pakistan’s famous dessert. This is a basic recipe which i am going to share. Two methods i will give, both are easy and end product is delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
Suji/ semolina | 1 cup |
Sugar | 3/4 cup |
Ghee | 3 tbsp |
Cardamom | 3-4 |
Water | 1 and 3/4 cup |
Nuts | as needed |
METHOD:
- In a pot add water and sugar, cook till sugar dissolve.
- In a pan add ghee and cardamom. Let it crackle then add semolina and fry till light golden.
- Now pour sugar syrup and stir constantly.
- Cook till ghee separates.
- Garnish with nuts and serve hot.
METHOD 2:
- In a pan add ghee and cardamom ,let it crackle then add semolina.
- Fry till light brown, add sugar and mix.
- Add water double to suji/semolina.
- Cook till oil separates .Add khoya and nuts.
- Mix and serve hot.
