lush push mThis recipe i have taken from a cooking show, I found it very interesting like its name. Very easy and in no time you can present a Lush Push dessert to your guests.

INGREDIENTS:

Cream2 cups
Icing Sugar6 tbsp
Red jelly1 packet
Green jelly1 packet
Sprinklesas needed, optional

METHOD:

  • Prepare jelly and let it set.
  • Lightly beat cream with sugar. Keep in refrigerator.
  • Just before serving cut cubes of jelly and mix in cream. Can sprinkle, sprinkles too.
  • Serve chill.

butterfly chicken sticks mThese butterflies are very easy and tasty. Kids will surely like these. Can be a perfect finger food for parties.

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken boneless, cut in cubes1 cup
Potatoeslarge, 2
Vinegar1 tsp
Tandori masala, any brand (i have used Shan)2 tbsp
Lemon juice1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste1 tsp
Butter1 tbsp
Corn flour1/4 cup
Plain flour1/4 cup
Grated Chadder cheeseas needed (optional)
Coriander leavesas needed
Oilfor frying

METHOD:

  • Peel potatoes and cut into thin slices length wise.
  • Add 1 tsp vinegar in water. Soak in water for 1-2 hours.
  • Marinate chicken with Tandori masala, lemon juice, butter and ginger garlic paste.
  • Leave it for 1 hour.
  • Before frying sprinkle corn flour and flour on chicken pieces.  Toss them.
  • Place chicken in center of the slice and insert toothpick, secure it and fry in oil.
  • Take butterflies out when chicken and potatoes tender. Place on paper towel.

  • Sprinkle coriander and grated cheese just before serving and serve with sauce.

creamy potato rolls mKids like potatoes of all type and shapes, if you will make these rolls for them I am sure they will not only like these creamy stuffed rolls but also will ask you to make them everyday 🙂

INGREDIENTS FOR WHITE SAUCE:

Butter2 tbsp
Flour2 tbsp
Saltto taste
Black pepper1 tsp
Milk1cup
Chicken, shredded1 cup
Carrot chopped2 tbsp
Capsicum chopped2 tbsp

METHOD:

  • In a pan add butter and flour. Stir for few seconds.
  • Now add Chicken and stir again.
  • Add salt and pepper, mix well.
  • Add milk and stir constantly. Add capsicum and carrot.
  • Mix till become thick.
  • Set aside.

INGREDIENTS FOR ROLLS:

Potatoes, boiled 6-7
Saltto tatse
Black pepper1 tsp
Bread crumbsas needed
Eggs2

METHOD:

  • Boil potatoes and mash them fine. Add salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Now make a patti of potato and place white sauce in the center and cover with mash potatoes from all sides.
  • Roll in egg and then in bread crumbs.
  • Keep in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • deep fry them.
  • Serve with sauce.

INGREDIENTS:

Noodles1 packet
Chicken bone less1/2 kg
Carrots2 medium, julienne cut
Bell pepper/ capsicum1 large, julienne cut
Cabbage1 cup, thinly sliced
Garlic cloves6-7, crushed
Sesame oil or vegetable oil3-4 tbsp
Soya sauce6 tbsp
Chili sauce6 tbsp or to tatse
Saltto tatse
Red chili flakes1 tsp
Chinese salt1 tsp
Black pepper1/2 tsp
Spring onion ,green part1/4 cup

METHOD:

  • Boil noodles and set aside.
  • In a Wok or pot add 1/2 tsp oil and fry all bell peppers. Take it out and add 1/2 tsp oil in wok again, now stir fry cabbage. Take it out.
  • Add 1/2 tsp oil and onion, stir fry them and take tem out.
  • Stir fry carrots in 1/2 tsp oil and take it out.
  • In wok add 1 tsp  sesame oil, soya sauce, chili sauce, black pepper, Chinese salt, salt, chili flakes and half garlic. Cook for few minutes till thick. Take it out.
  • In a wok add oil and garlic, stir it. After a minute add chicken and cook for few minutes till tender.
  • Add noodles and stir.
  • Add all vegetables one by one. Stir for few seconds.
  • In the end add spring onion and remove from heat.
  • You can garnish with sesame seeds and serve.

POTATO CRISP POPS

potato pops mThis recipe I have picked from internet. Kids will defiantly like these pops. I have given a little twist to the recipe. I am posting original version and my own version here.

INGREDIENTS OF ORIGINAL RECIPE:

Potato cubes12-13
Flour1/2 cup
Chicken powder1 tsp
Garlic powder1 tsp
Corn flour1/2 cup
Slatto taste
Spring onion, green part chopped2 tbsp
Black pepper1/2 tsp
Wateras needed
Wooden skewer or toothpicksas needed

METHOD:

  • Cut potatoes in cubes, boil in salted water.
  • In a bowl add all ingredients and mix with water. Make a thick paste.
  • Arrange cubes on a wooden stick and dip in paste and fry.
  • Serve with any dip.

  • Boil potatoes, cut them in cubes.
  • Sprinkle salt and chicken powder on cubes. Toss them.
  • In a bowl add all ingredients and mix with water. Make a thick paste.
  • Dip potato inserted in sticks, in paste and fry.
  • You can adjust spices according to your taste buds.
  • Serve with ketchup.

THREAD CHICKEN STICKS

INGREDIENTS:

Potatoes3 large
Onion1 small, sliced
Spring onion2 sticks, chopped
Eggs2
Flour1/2 cup
Baking powder1 tsp
Crushed black pepper1 tsp
Salt to taste

METHOD:

  • Peel potatoes and wash, grate them and squeeze water with hands.
  • Spread on paper towel to dry excess water.
  • In a bowl add all ingredients and shredded  potatoes. Mix well. Heat oil and give potatoes a shape of a patty.
  • Fry in oil.

STRAWBERRY DELIGHT

strawberry delight mVery simple recipe, fresh strawberries are still available in market so try this today. My sons loved this colorful sweet and tangy dessert.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Milk                               2 cups
  • Custard powder          1 tbsp, any flavor. I ave used vanilla.
  • Fresh cream                 1 packet
  • Sugar                             6 tbsp or to taste
  • Fresh strawberries     2 cups, chopped
  • Kewra water                  few drops.

 

METHOD:

  • Boil milk and add dissolved custard powder in it.Stir constantly till become thick.
  • Add kewra water. mix well and let it cool completely.
  • In a pan add strawberries and sugar. Add 4 tbsp water also. Cook on low flame till thick consistency obtained.
  • Let it cool.
  • Now in a bowl mix all ingredients.
  • You can give layers too. First strawberry pulp, custard then cream.
  • You can add sugar if required more.
  • Refrigerate it, garnish with strawberries and sprinkles before serving.

INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN

  • Chicken                           1/2 kg , boneless
  • Ginger garlic paste        1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder    1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red chili           1 tsp
  • Salt                                   to taste
  • All spice powder            1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice                    3 tbsp
  • Chili sauce                       1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce                       2 tbsp
  • Mustard paste                1 tsp
  • Oil                                     4 tbsp
  • Pita bread                        4-5

METHOD

  • In a pan add oil. Cut chicken in long strips.
  • Add all spices in chicken and cook till tender. Now fry it till light golden.
  • Set a side and prepare other sauces.

INGREDIENTS FOR VEGETABLES

  • Cucumber                      1/2 cup, Julian cut
  • Carrot                              1/2 cup, Julian cut
  • Green chili                      1/4 cup, chopped
  • Olives                               1/4 cup, chopped
  • Vinegar                             as needed

METHOD 

  • Dip all vegetables in vinegar and keep in fridge overnight or at least 4 hours.

INGREDIENTS FOR TAHINI SAUCE

  • White sesame seeds     1/2 cup
  • Garlic chopped              1 tsp
  • Olive oil                          3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice                   3 tbsp

METHOD

  • Toast sesame seeds and grind immediately. Add all other ingredients too and grind to make a smooth paste.

INGREDIENTS FOR HUMMUS

  • Tahini sauce             1/2 cup
  • While chick peas     1 cup, boiled
  • Lemon juice             4 tbsp
  • Olive oil                     4 tbsp
  • Salt                             to taste
  • Black pepper            1/4 tsp
  • Garlic chopped        1 tsp

METHOD

  • Add all ingredients in blender and prepare paste.

ASSEMBLING

  • Take a square butter paper, place shwarma on it. Spread humus and vegetables.
  • Place chicken on one side of shawarma and roll it.
  • Serve with any dip of your choice.
  • Enjoy.

INGREDIENTS FOR PITA BREAD

  • Plain flour           3 cups
  • Yeast                    1 tsp
  • Oil                        1 tbsp
  • Sugar                   1 tsp
  • Warm water       for kneading

METHOD

  • Mix all ingredients and knead with warm water. Leave it for 2 hours on a warm place.
  • It will be double in size. Punch it down on counter to remove air.
  • Roll it, use dry flour too. Cut same size of circles with any plate.
  • Grease pan or tawa and cook like flat bread/ roti.

PITA BREAD TIKKA PIZZA

INGREDIENTS FOR TIKKA:

  • Chicken boneless           2 breast fillets , cut in cubes
  • Yogurt                              1/2 cup

  • Lemon juice                     1 tbsp
  • Grated ginger                  1/2 tbsp
  • Chopped garlic                1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder                 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder             1 tsp
  • Black pepper                    1/2 tsp
  • Oil                                       2 tbsp

METHOD:

  • Marinate all ingredients in a large bowl and leave it for 2 hours.
  • Now in a pan cook till chicken tender and water dries.
  • Give smoke of Charcoal.

  • Pizza sauce                       as needed
  • Capsicum                          1 large, cut in cubes
  • Onion                                 1 medium, cut in cubes
  • Tomato                              1 medium, remove seeds and cut in cubes.
  • Oregano                             as needed, for sprinkle on pizza

  • In a baking tray arrange all four pita breads.
  • Spread pizza sauce and chicken tikka.
  • Top it with vegetables and cheese.
  • Sprinkle oregano and bake at 180c till cheese melt.

bbq sp mThis recipe i have adapted from Shiren Anwer’s recipes , thou a little bit changes i have made but BBq sauce is a key ingredient of this recipe. I myself love bbq flavor. Hope you will also try and like the recipe.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken             1/2 kg , cut in cubes
  • Spaghetti          3 cups, boiled
  • Tomato paste   1 tbsp
  • Garlic minced   1tbsp
  • Ketchup              2 tbsp
  • Pasta sauce        2 tbsp
  • Chili garlic sauce  2 tbsp
  • BBQ sauce           1 tbsp
  • Red chili flakes   1 tsp
  • Oregano                1 tsp
  • Rosemary          1 tsp
  • Oil                        1/4 cup
  • Parsley or coriander leaves for garnish
  • Capsicum            1
  • Cabbage              as needed

METHOD:

  •  In a pan add oil and garlic. Saute for few seconds. Add chicken stir till color change.
  • Add all spices and sauces, mix well.
  • Add vegetables and stir for few more seconds.

OREO CHOCOLATE BITES

cocolate mNo bake Oreo chocolate bites are simply awesome. In no time you can prepare and serve these bites to your kids or friends.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Milk chocolate        1 cup
  • White chocolate     1/2 cup
  • Oreo biscuits           5-6

METHOD:

  • Crush cookies to form a fine powder.
  • Melt chocolates one by one in microwave or use double boiler method to melt chocolate.
  • Fold Oreo in chocolate. Mix well.
  • Grease silicon chocolate mold. Drop Oreo mix in mold with spoon.
  • Tap mold tray on flat surface to remove air bubbles.
  • Keep in refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
  • Remove from mold and serve.

POTATO SMILEY

potato-smilies-mWhat about trying this recipe for kids lunch box tomorrow. My sons love these smiling faces. You can add more spices if planning to make for hi tea. I have used less spices because of my kids.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Potatoes                                  2 large, boiled and mashed
  • Cornflour                                3-4 tbsp or use more if required.
  • Salt                                           to taste
  • Black pepper                          1 tsp
  • Red chili powder                   1/2 tsp
  • Oregano or mixed herbs      1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Baking powder                       1/4 tsp
  • Oil                                             for frying

METHOD:

  • Mash potatoes very fine. Mix all ingredients and mix well.
  • Now take Aluminum foil / plastic sheet, place on a flat plate, spread potato mixture on foil.
  • Cover with another sheet and roll it with rolling pin or you can spread with your hands too. Spread evenly.
  • Should not be very thick. Keep in refrigerator for 20 -25 minutes.
  • Remove cover and cut with smiley cutter ,if you do not have use knife to cut mouth and straw to make eyes.
  • Heat oil on medium flame and fry smileys till light brown.
  • Enjoy with tea or give in your kid’s lunch boxes.

 

  • You can add  green coriander, all spice powder or Parmesan cheese if you want to give a different touch to your SMILEYS 🙂

spageti cups mAgain i am posting easy to follow recipe for your family. You can give a twist by adding meatball filling instead of chicken tikka but i know most of people like tikka fillings. So try and give me your feedback.

INGREDIENTS

  • Spaghetti                  1/2 packet , boil it.
  • Chicken                     1 cup  , cut in cubes
  • Tomato paste           1 tbsp
  • Capsicum                   1 small, chop it
  • Cabbage                     1/4 cup
  • Red chili flakes         1/2 tsp
  • Salt                              to taste
  • Tikka masala             2 tbsp, any brand
  • Garlic clove                1 , mince it
  • Red chili powder       1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice                1 tsp
  • Oil                                 2 tbsp

METHOD

  • Pre heat oven at 150c. Grease muffin pan.
  • Spread spaghetti in muffin case and make some space for filling. Press down with hand. Repeat this with every case and bake at 180c till light brown.
  • In apan add oil and garlic mince, saute for few seconds.
  • Add chicken fry for few minutes. Now add tomato paste, chili flakes, salt, red chili powder, tikka masala, lemon juice. Stir for few seconds.
  • Add vegetable and let it cook for few more seconds. You can adjust spices according to your taste buds. If you want to add carrot or onion then go for it.
  • Give smoke of charcoal, this step is optional.
  • Now arrange spaghetti cups on a serving plate and fill chicken tikka filling in center.

  • Serve hot. You can sprinkle cheese and bake for 5-10 mins if you like.
  • You can also add green coriander and green chilies in filling.

ZESTY CHICKEN BITES

INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken breast         1/2 kg, cut in small cubes
  • Salt                              to taste
  • Red chili flakes         1 tsp
  • Red chili powder      1/2 tsp
  • Paprika powder        1/4 tsp
  • Garlic powder            1/2 tsp
  • Italian seasoning       1/4 tsp
  • Egg                               1
  • Water                           1/2 tsp
  • Plain flour                   1/2 cup
  • Bread crumbs             1 cup

METHOD:

  • If you want to bake bites then preheat oven at 150c. Grease baking tray.
  • In a bowl beat egg and water. set aside.
  • In another bowl add all ingredients except crumbs.
  • Now dip chicken in egg then roll in spice mixture. Coat crumbs, press with hand and fry in oil.
  • If baking then place on tray and bake  at 180c till done.

ROASTED BEEF SANDWICH

beef sandwh mI can not forget the aroma and cheesy taste of Roasted Beef Sandwich which my mother was making. She adopted the recipe from Chef Rahat’s cooking show. You can use chicken instead of beef.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Bread slices        as needed
  • Beef loaf              1/2 kg piece, take under cut portion
  • Salt                       to taste
  • Tomatoes            2-3, slices
  • Cheddar cheese  slices    as needed
  • Black pepper crushed      as needed
  • Oil                         for toasting and roasting

METHOD:

  • In a pot add 2 tbsp. oil and roast beef loaf from all side till color change to golden brown. Now add water and cook on low flame till tender.
  • Let it cool and cut slices.

  • Cut edges of bread slices and place beef slice then sprinkle salt and black pepper on it.
  • Place tomato slices and cheese slice. Cove with another slice and press lightly.
  • Now pour 1 tbsp. on pan and place sandwich. Cook on low flame till light brown. Turn the side and toast from other side. Pour 1 tbsp also. Toast on low flame.
  • Serve hot with sauce.

CHICKEN TIKKA BREAD BALLS

tikka balls mIf you are looking for any different bread rolls recipe then try this out. Give these in your kids lunch box or serve with evening tea, your family will definitely like them.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken cut in cubes  1/2 kg
  • Onion, chopped           1 small
  • Tikka masala                3 tbsp.
  • Lemon juice                  6 tbsp.
  • Oil                                   2 tbsp.
  • Bread slices                   10-12
  • Egg                                  1
  • Bread crumbs               as needed

METHOD:

  • In a bowl add chicken, tikka masala, lemon juice. Mix well and leave it for 1/2 hour.
  • In a pan add oil and onion, sauté and add chicken. Fry till tender. Let it cool completely.
  • Now remove corners of bread and spray water lightly on slice. Squeeze extra water with hands and place chicken tikka in center.
  • Cover it with bread and make a shape of a ball.
  • Dip in egg and roll in crumbs.
  • Fry in oil.
